THE VENUE AND FOOD
No 97 is a little neighbourhood restaurant located in the heart of leafy Maple Road, Surbiton.
City meets country. In all the good ways. An easy mix of innovation and international cuisine with the openness and rootsy warmth. It’s a natural extension of who we are – part city slicker, part bumpkin, with a vision that is guided by the seasons, our travels and our experiences.
No 97 is a husband and wife team, surrounded by a top bunch of people. Their concept is simple – contemporary dining in a relaxed environment. It’s food inspired by fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, paired with an eclectic selection of wines, gin and innovative cocktails.
Debs Paterson has over 20 years experience working within a creative team as an Art Director and Creative Director in some of London’s top marketing and advertising agencies. She has worked with a wide range of brands and clients and created multi media campaigns for TV, radio, press, direct marketing, business to business and content strategies for large blue chip organizations down to small boutique clients. Debs has spearheaded campaigns for brands such as O2, BMW, VW, Phillips, Persil and Pepsico as well as Harvey Nichols, Oxfam and Moet Hennessy winning many advertising and marketing awards along the way. Since having children, she has now co-founded the parent brand Parent-Apparel.com with Becks Clarke and has continued as a creative consultant with a passion for brand development and social media campaigns and strategies.
Debs is going to talk to us about what marketing and advertising a small independent business looks like in 2019, what as a small business owner, brand or influencer you should be considering, how she changed her career after children, what using PR looks like for you and your business and the most effective way to market it. Debs is happy to answer any of your questions on what it’s like being part of Hustle & Fox, Parent Apparel, her former experience, anything (just make sure you include your question in the form at checkout).
YOUR FELLOW GUESTS
I HATE events where everyone is “so cool”, and no-one talks to you, just stays in their little bubble. At Power of Mum events, I make sure each and every person is made to feel welcome. We have drinks at the start and I made sure no-one is alone. Then, having had our main courses, we swap places before pudding! Perfect, huh?!
