THE VENUE AND FOOD

No 97 is a little neighbourhood restaurant located in the heart of leafy Maple Road, Surbiton.

City meets country. In all the good ways. An easy mix of innovation and international cuisine with the openness and rootsy warmth. It’s a natural extension of who we are – part city slicker, part bumpkin, with a vision that is guided by the seasons, our travels and our experiences.

No 97 is a husband and wife team, surrounded by a top bunch of people. Their concept is simple – contemporary dining in a relaxed environment. It’s food inspired by fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, paired with an eclectic selection of wines, gin and innovative cocktails.

OUR SPEAKER

Gayle Haddock cut her business teeth at Spitalfields Market and successfully created a brand that led her to run her own retail business in Carnaby Street’s Kingly Court for 11 years. She has been at the forefront of trend forecasting when it came to the children’s fashion and lifestyle industry - an industry that’s now worth £5.9 billion in the UK. Having designed and produced her own ranges, she’s also work closely with a number of leading children’s wear brands in a consultation capacity to help them with everything from product development, business management, branding, marketing, PR and social media. Gayle has become a sought-after figure within her industry and leads Hustle & Fox's work with developing and independent brands helping them to define their story and build their brand. Gayle co-founded Hustle & Fox in 2015 along with Cat Sims.

YOUR FELLOW GUESTS

I HATE events where everyone is “so cool”, and no-one talks to you, just stays in their little bubble. At Power of Mum events, I make sure each and every person is made to feel welcome. We have drinks at the start and I made sure no-one is alone. Then, having had our main courses, we swap places before pudding! Perfect, huh?!
