Should we stop talking about balance?

What does balance look like to you?

To me, it used to mean this utopia whereby work, home, kids, relationships, hobbies, me were beautifully together, weighted equally.

And I still find real, calm balance utterly beautiful.

But now it's not about it all the different demands on my time being afforded equal parts of me.

It's about me listening in to my inner voice, to check what I need and what my family needs.

The last two weeks my balance has been skewed entirely towards my business and my daughter (whom has started school).

My self-care has been non-existent.

And I'VE LOVED IT.

I've loved being there for my little love as she starts school, there for my clients as one course ends and another one opens, there for my workshop participants, there as the fire in my belly ROARS and I write down idea after idea.

Balance to me is much more about these things now:

- acceptance
- adaptability
- control over my own decisions.
